As we have mentioned before these containers are ideally suited for renting so people can live in them. But they have their pros and cons, so let us list them. The biggest pros are the price for renting a suitable home for a short period. The cons are the space and location.
The dumpster rentals have many different packages across the country and Seattle is no different from any other city in the USA. These ratings can have various factors calculated in the price and before you go out renting you should be aware of some of them.
The first thing that needs to be pointed out is the quality of these dumpsters. They can come in many different shapes, making the living space bigger or smaller. The con is the rust factor, and it can’t be ignored. Some containers have rust only on the outside with a few dents, while others can have the rust also edging on the inside of the container.
Many need a fresh paint job so they can be welcoming for the new tenant, and others don’t need any additional work done on them. Another price factor is the transportation of these containers. Depending on your project location, these containers can be moved to that location. The price also varies if the containers are transported inside the city or outside the city zone limits.
But let us get back to more important things the size and the quality of these dumpsters.
-10 Yard Dumpsters:
Dimensions are 12′ long x 8′ wide x 4′ high. They are pretty small, and won’t be able to fit many people. But they are a great addition to a bigger dumpster to serve as an additional room.
-20 Yard Dumpsters
Dimensions are 22′ long x 8′ wide x 4.5′ high. These are considerably larger than the 10-yard ones. Here there is enough space to house one or two people that don’t require a lot of space but still have enough to function without many issues.
– 30 Yard Dumpsters
Dimensions are 22′ long x 8′ wide x 6′ high. These dumpsters are the same as the 20-yard ones with the exception of having a higher “roof” area.
– 40 Yard Dumpsters
Dimensions are 22′ long x 8′ wide x 8′ high. These dumpsters have the highest “roof” area of them all. After the 20-yard dumpster, the bigger ones only offer higher ceilings which can be useful if you plan to house the people in the “army style” of living, where beds go into height instead of spacing them out. These containers are huge and require more time to heat up or cool down depending on the weather and the additional material inside.
The quality of these dumpsters also varies on the job that they were used before. So make sure to check where they were used before they became a housing project. If you have any further questions, make sure to check out our contact us section.
